Sushi Rocks II

The Sushi Cabaret Club returned to the Nagoya-Life International Mixer Party for the second time on Saturday, April 29th and didn't disappoint.  With over 150 people coming out for this special party, including family and friends of Nagoya-Life partner, Colin Walker, the band ripped through 40 minutes of rockin' music that brought the energy level to an all time high from all previous parties.  The atmosphere was electric at Shooters Sports Bar and Grill in Fushimi and the bar was jammed with people who had a great time drinking, dancing and mixing with others at the party. 

There were many first timers at the party and lots of regulars who mixed and enjoyed the great spread of food and open bar. A wide variety of prizes were also given out as door prizes, including an authentic boomerang from BEST Australia, 5 Free English lessons from TTM Communication for a Japanese guest, hats and shirts from The Sushi Cabaret Club and tickets to their sold out live show at the Apollo Theater given away by Nagoya-Life.  If that wasn't enough, Ian Opper visiting from Canada gave away Canada t-shirts and hats while fellow visiting Canadian, Dave "Magic" Bannytyne amazed and vowed the guests with his magic tricks throughout the party.

Trademark at the parties is the mixer activity and this time the teams of guests were required to form a sentence from a group of words contained in an envelope.  The winning team had newcomers on it, including John Schweitzer, who was visiting from Canada and here for Colin's upcoming wedding.  Each member of the winning team received a free ticket to the 2006 ACCJ-NIS Walkathon on Sunday, May 21st at Meijo Park.  Nagoya-Life is pleased to help support this great event and will be hosting The Second Stage area at the Walkathon on the day.  We invite everyone to join us on the 21st and help give back to the community in which we live.  For more details, visit the official event website at www.nagoyawalkathon.com.
