Double the Fun and Double the Prizes!!

It was a double-rama at the Nagoya-Life 2nd Anniversary Mixer Party at Shooters on Saturday, January 20th.  Of the 100 guests that joined, there were many new faces and old friends of Nagoya-Life enjoying a great time at the party.  The theme for the party was two and that meant two of every prize given away at our parties, beginning with two free admissions won by the lovely Sayuri Nakamura (a first timer) and Nagoya-Life friend and regular, Lloyd Barclay (honest, his name was drawn!). 

Keeping with the theme for the Mixer Activity, the teams put on their best poker faces and played a game of Draw Poker, with you guessed it, two draws of two cards.  And instead of only one winning team, the top two teams and all of their members received 1,500 gift certificates courtesy of Nagoya-Life and Shooters. The 2nd place poker hand was a Full House while the winning team, the Royals, shocked the crowd with a Royal Flush!

Other two-fer prizes included two sets of 10 free English Lessons from TTM Communication, two 10,000 Gift Certificates from BEST Australia for travel to Australia and two 2,500 Gift Certificates presented by Shooters. The grand prizes were two iPod Shuffles and the lucky winners were Masato and Toshi.

As always, the food and drink supplied by Shooters and their wonderful staff was enjoyed by all with many guests having drinks in "two's" and heading to the buffet for "second" helpings. Nagoya-Life thanks everyone who has supported us over the last two years and who came to help us celebrate our 2nd Anniversary.  Without you there would be no parties and that would be a shame as they are really a lot of fun!  Hontoo ni arigatou gozaimashita!

We will be back in action at the beginning of March and the Theme is Green to mark the coming of St. Patrick's Day. We encourage all of the guests to wear something green and have plans to give away a special prize to the guest that exudes the best St. Paddy's Day pride.  We will also be making a special announcement at the party regarding our upcoming event in April and will be giving away two free admissions to what is sure to be the BEST PARTY of SPRING in Nagoya!
